Dr. Ivette Espinosa-Fernandez
DO, FACOP
Ivette Espinosa Fernandez DO, FACOP is board-certified in pediatric medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, she has an undergraduate dual degree in microbiology/immunology and Psychology from the University of Miami. Dr. Espinosa is an associate professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She holds privileges at Baptist Hospital health systems And Nicklaus Children’s Hospital where she has practiced emergency medicine for over 20 years. She lectures on a variety of topics including women’s health and breast cancer prevention, nutrition assessment, functional medicine with functional nutrition, insulin resistance, heart health, weight control and allergies.

Dr. Elizabeth Leon Corcoba
DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner | Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Dr. Elizabeth Leon Corcoba is a bilingual Family Nurse Practitionerandd whose career blends international training with compassionate, community-focused care. Originally trained and licensed as a physician in Cuba, she practiced family medicine and taught at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba, caring for individuals and families across prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
After immigrating to the United States, she rebuilt her credentials—earning a BSN from the University of the Sacred Heart (Puerto Rico), followed by both an MSN and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from South University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care. Her clinical experience spans dialysis, home health, long-term acute care, and outpatient primary care, serving communities across Missouri, Kansas, and Florida. She also mentors future clinicians as a clinical preceptor.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Leon Corcoba delivers culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. She holds certifications as a National Registry Certified Medical Examiner (DOT/NRCME), ACLS, Wound Care, and DEA registration. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive health, nephrology, and community wellness.
Her journey—from Cuban physician to American nurse practitioner—reflects resilience, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to evidence-based care, empathy, and clinical excellence.

Ashton Garcia, RN
Ashton Garcia has been working as a registered nurse since 2021. Working in specialty areas such as post-surgical, orthopedics, and critical care, he strives for quality and specialized care of his patients. Ashton is eager to work with LGBTQIA+ communities and other communities who may not have the resources or options to seek healthcare through traditional means. Patient-focused care along with safety and inclusion is of utmost importance in his practice.
